Leaving Hong Kong here, always a great visual from high-above overlooking the back end of the harbor, and arriving back home, landing at LAX. Very good to be back home with family. We got a lot of things accomplished, not all, but most. More updates later…

Here’s a sample from a new paint supplier to test paint adhesion. We’ve had a lot of delays, but we always make sure things are done right! Below is my line engineer as we check out this oven for age testing, which is to see if the paint and tampo colors change during rapid aging. In a couple of days, we get an idea if the colors will fade in 6 months or a year.
Below is a sneek at one of our artwork tampo plates. White is used as a base coat for brighter colors over dark color painted bodies. ahhh, I can recall the day when these machines were brand spankin’ new, without a drop of paint on them, lol.
“Fast Ferry” from Macau to HK. Check out that flag on top…
Little coastal city in China. Well, there’s nothing little about China. Little towns here are like major cities back in the States. To the left is Macau. If I recall correctly, Macau is a province under the China flag…
So I asked what they were catchin’… hmmm… click below for supersize.
Macau is the place to visit if you get the chance. Macau is one of the two special administrative regions of China, the other being Hong Kong. This tiny city has more betting wages than all of Vegas. Not I, but there’s some major high-rollers here. There’s the Wynn in the back and a few other well know casinos here. They all want in…
One of the hotels. Below is not on a wall but a walkway.
This shrimp is no shrimp… it’s huge. Tastes ok, but looks like a tarantula! lol.
This is a classic shot of an intersection at any given moment in the heart of So. China. There seems like absolutely no rules when it comes to driving. Pedestrian are very brave here considering cars have the right of way. But if you hit a pedestrian while driving, you automatically are in the wrong, and need to compensate the pedestrian and his family. Wrong way traffic are common. As my friend tells me, “they just don’t care.” Auto accidents are settled on the spot with RMB($), as in most case, both party loses because one party is always short to indemnify the other party’s damages.
Tastes like chicken??? I at times feel corny bustin’ out my camera, but this was something that I thought you like to see. Go click on the pic for a super size dose of Goose liver! One of many dishes at a luncheon meeting, but what was funny is that no one else touched it. It tastes like, well, liver but really mushy. I only tasted a small tiny 1/4 inch section just to see how it’d taste. I do like liver but this was sorta yuckk!
A rare glimpse, today, a worker is showing me some of our tools for inspection. These things are so very heavy. Looking at these pics reminds me of a funny story. I know a guy who can pick this up by a hug lift. He’s not big, just average build, but his body is like a rock! One of my visits last year, when he greeted me with a big strong hug, he actually fractured one of my ribs! lol. Seriously, I heard a crack and could hardly breath, and I outweight him by 30 lbs.
Below: check out one of our process we employ for static paint. See all these red EVO’s? They were all rejected and striped down to be repainted. Why? Quality is numero uno my friends, you all know that. Quality is paramount for what we produce! Here’s some rare behind the scene pics…
Eating pizza in China! Yes, that round thing in the forefront.
Hola! I look pretty tired here but I love what I do. Lot’s of work and on the spot instant approvals all day long. That’s one of the huge benefits being here… and when “I woiks, I woiks hard!”
Monsoon coming! You want to talk about flash flood with a high dose of humidity? This pic is taken at the double bridge into crossing into China from Hong Kong. My trusty driver, Such a convenience, especially if you have lot’s of baggage, cuz I tend to carry excessively sometimes. Special drive-thru lanes and tolls really gets you to your destination fast!
Below is mwahh in the rear view, heheh. hey, I’m bored…
Speaking of weather:
That above would be Burnout Magazine editor Nash’s snow covered “Nash Rambler?” in Japan. I mentioned it was raining hard in China off and on, he sent me this pick saying “heck, we got snow!!”
Hey Nash! What’s up buddy? lol.
Mr. G’s killer artwork on the Nash! I cannot begin to say how clean and precise his artwork is.
One of the best pinstripers on the planet!
